Umbrella Summer book review by Addie

Umbrella Summer by Lisa Graff

I like this book because it's realistic fiction. Also, because Annie is a little stubborn and she worries about a lot of things like riding her bike down the hill and if hot dogs are safe. Annie worries about spraining her ankle, she wears a helmet, knee pads, and elbow pads just to walk to her friends house. She even wrote her will.
My favorite character is Annie, she is just really funny. She does not eat hot dogs on the fourth of July, she does not ride her bike down the hill. She is just different. And she meets a unexpected friend who helps her to worry less.

What does this book make me think about, want to explore, or learn more about? Lisa Graff wrote the worries in a funny way and it made me think differently about worrying.
It also makes me want to explore more about realistic fiction, things that can happen in real life. Maybe even historical fiction.
